英会話タイムトライアル 9/3(月)～9/5(水) 備忘録
好きなことや興味のあるもの、
そして「～は初めてです」を表現するフレーズを学びます。
個人的には、be interested in の持つニュアンスが知れて得した気分です。
9月3日(月)
★ 興味のあること、夢中になっていることを英語で言えるようになりましょう。
1) 〜に夢中になっている、はまっている
2) 父はゴルフにはまっています。
3) 子供の時は、恐竜に夢中でした
4) 〜に興味がある
5) 日本のアニメに興味がありますか
6) ヨガにはあまり興味がありません
7) 趣味はありますか
8) 趣味は旅行と読書です
1) be so into ～
2) My dad is so into golf.
My dad likes golf so much. でも正解です
3) When I was a child, I was so into dynousous.
4) be into ～
「～に興味がある、～が好きです」を表すのはこの表現が便利です。
5) Are you into Japanese anime?
Are you interested in Japanese anime? こちらだと今すぐ見たいかどうかというニュアンスを持っています。好きかどうか、興味があるかどうかを聞きたい場合には be into を使います。
6) I’m not really into Yoga.
I’m not really interested in Yoga. ➡ 今すぐ参加したいかどうか聞かれた時に使えます。
A: Are you interested in Yoga? We’re having a yoga class.
B: I’m not really interested in Yoga right now.
7) Do you have a hobby?
What’s your hobby? だと相手が趣味を持っていることが前提になるので Do you have a hobby? がお勧めです。
8) My hobbies are traveling and reading.
9月4日(火)
★ 温泉巡り、洋楽、海外ドラマ。今日はこの3つを言えるようにしましょう！
1 温泉巡り
2 私は、日本中の温泉を巡るのが大好きです
3 洋楽
4 80年台の洋楽にはまっています
5 海外ドラマ
6 趣味といえるかどうか分かりませんが
7 海外ドラマにはまっています
1 going to different hot springs
2 I love going to different hot springs around Japan.
3 American music, British music, European music
日本語の「洋楽」に当てはまる言葉がないので具体的な国を言って表現します
4 I’m so into British music from the 80’s.
5 American TV shows, British TV shows, Korean TV shows
こちらも具体的な国を言います。TV shows（テレビ番組）と言ったほうがわかりやすいです。
6 I’m not sure if I can call it a hobby,
7 but I’m so into American TV shows

A: Do you have a hobby?
B: I’m not sure if I can call it a hobby, but I’m so into British TV shows. And I like traveling. How about you?
9月5日(水)
★ 今日は「初めてです」をうまく表現できるようになりましょう。
1) 初めてです。
2) 初めてですか？
3) 〜するのは初めて
4) シュノーケリングは、初めてです。
5) 日本は初めてですか？
6) 日本はいかがですか？
7) カナダに行ったことがありません。
8) 神戸に行ったことはありますか？
9) いつから切手の収集をしているのですか？
10) 2年前に釣りをはじめました。
1) It’s my first time.
This is my first time. でも正解です。
2) Is this your first time?
Is it your first time? でも正解です。
3) the first time I’ve 動詞 または the first time you’ve 動詞
4) It’s the first time I’ve tried snorkeling.
「シュノーケリングが初めて」はシュノーケリングをするのは初めてということですからこのように表現します。
食べ物や飲み物にも応用できます
It’s the first time I’ve tried 豚汁／唐揚げ.
自分が食べたものに対して、It’s the first time I’ve tried this. という表現も広く使えます。
5) Is this the first time you’ve been to Japan?
6) How do you like Japan?
印象を聞くのにHow do you like ～？を使います。食べ物にも応用できます。How do you like Japanese food?
7) I’ve never been to Canada before.
8) Have you ever been to Kobe before?
9) When did you start collecting stamps?
「趣味は何年前からやっているのか」を聞くには When did you start ～？を使えばOKです。How many years ago did you start – ? でもいいですが、When did you start のほうが言いやすいですね。
10) I started fishing two years ago.
