7月9日(月)

2. 飲み物はいかがですか？
3. 何でも結構です
4. お茶、ジュース、水があります
5. お茶をいただけますか？
6. お茶をどうぞ
7. お口に合うといいんですが…
8. お酒は飲めますか？
9. ビールもありますよ
10. 次は何をお飲みになりますか？
1. Would you like ～ ?
➡ フレンドリーに言う場合は do you want ~?
お客様の場合は would you like ~? で覚えましょう。
2. Would you like a drink?
➡ Would you like something to drink?
➡ What would you like to drink?
3. Anything’s fine.
4. We have tea, juice, or water.
5. May I have some tea?
➡ 飲み物の前によくsome をつけます。迷ったらつけてみてください。
➡ May I have ~? は広く使います。
May I have some more? お代わりをください
6. Here is some tea for you.
➡ Here is ~ for you. はおもてなしの定番表現です。
Have some tea. でもOKです。
7. I hope you like it.
8. Do you drink?
➡ Do you drink? のほうが can you drink? よりも自然です。
➡ alcohol はあってもなくてもどちらでもよいです。
9. We have beer too.
➡ We also have beer. でもOKです。
10. What would you like to drink next?
➡ What would you like next? でもOKです。

1 上の階、上の階に
2 うちのリビングルームは上の階にあります。
3 下の階、下の階に
4 息子はまだ下の階にいます。
5 お手洗い
6 お手洗いを使いますか？
7 お手洗いを使ってもいいですか？
8 お手洗いはすぐそこです。
9 ご案内しますね
10 左側の２つ目のドアです。
1 upstairs
➡ 2階であっても3階であってもupstairs。広く使います。
2 Our living room is upstairs.
3 downstairs
➡ 家の中の上・下を upstairs / downstairs で表します
4 My son is still downstairs.
5 bathroom / restroom
➡ アメリカでtoilet と言うと便器のことを指します
6 Would you like to use the bathroom?
➡ 「～したいですか？」「～しますか？」と言いたいときはwould you like ～? が便利です。
7 May I use the bathroom?
8 The bathroom is right there.
9 I’ll show you.
10 It’s the second door on your left.
➡ on the left でもOKです

1 ほんの気持ちですが。

3 でも、わざわざありがとうございます。
4 あなたはお客さまですから。

6 ここは上座です。

➡ You’re the guest. Have a seat. 「あなたはお客様ですから座ってください」
5 You’re the guest of honor.
➡ 接待やおもてなしにhonor をよく使います。
時々主賓と訳されますが、英語では大切なお客様のように広く使います
6 This is the seat of honor.
➡ 大切なお客様が座る席ということで seat of honor を使います
